This class is a great introduction to the Art of improvisation. Through a series of acting exercises and improv games performed in a safe and fun environment, you’ll learn to create great improvised scenes and characters through agreement, support, and playing to the top of your intelligence.

This course is designed for the seasoned student or Improv performer who wants to expand their range. Weekly classes will include improvised scene work as well as personalized exercises focusing on the actor’s strengths.

While continuing to focus on scene work, character, the development of relationships, and with special interest in the use of the ensemble, we will explore various styles, formats and techniques used in long form improvisation performances.

Improv 401 – Old School Harold Class

The Harold is the original long form improvisation format from which all the current long form formats have sprung. The Harold is the foundation upon which the newer formats have been built. This class will focus on the teachings of Improv Guru Del Close, as the class works together studying scene work, teamwork, narrative structure, and developing the “group mind”.
